Wicklow Gaol is a museum and former prison. As a prison, it dates back to the 1700s, housing prisoners from the famine and the 1798 rebellion. It was reopened as a museum in 1998. The gaol is open until 3.30/4.30 (depending on time of year), and all tickets are less than ten euro, making it an affordable and educational day out for all.

Glenroe Farm

The farm offers close and easy access to a wide variety of farm animals and pets and is both educational and fun. The farm uses best practice animal welfare and the care of the animals is under the guidance of Kilcoole Animal Hospital (small animals) and Ballyorney Vets (larger animals). The farm is nestled between the Sugar Loaf and the sea and has fabulous views and a nature walk which runs through the working farm taking visitors to a magical Fairy Garden in the woods.
