Wicklow Gaol

Posted on 1st February 2019

Wicklow Gaol is a museum and former prison. As a prison, it dates back to the 1700s, housing prisoners from the famine and the 1798 rebellion. It was reopened as a museum in 1998. It is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in the world. The gaol is open until 3.30/4.30 (depending on time of year), and all tickets are less than ten euro, making it an affordable and educational day out for all.

Guests of The Bridge Tavern can avail of 25% discounted rates.
